PRODUCT MAINTENANCE

Anchor 1
Maintaining your
Cutting Boards or Charcuterie Boards
Copy of IMG_0120.jpeg

Your cutting board or charcuterie board was finished with all natural mineral oil and beeswax to give it that beautiful sheen, however, the finish on your board will wear off after many uses and washing, dulling the appearance of your board.

From time to time, you will want to freshen up the look of your board
and
bring it back to life, but before we begin you should know the

#1 rule about wooden boards...

NEVER  PUT YOUR BOARD IN THE DISHWASHER!!!
This will cause your board to warp and possibly become unglued.

Occasional Maintenance:

Reapply a coat of mineral oil and beeswax (or similar)

- Protect nearby surfaces and apply a coat of mineral oil and let it soak into the wood for a minimum of 15 minutes.

- Wipe off the excess and let it dry.

- After the board is dry, apply a coat of beeswax  and allow it to dry as well.

- After about 30 minutes, wipe off any excess beeswax.

Your board is ready to be used immediately.

These 2 products are readily available. You can find mineral oil at your local pharmacy and beeswax can be found at your local Home Hardware stores.
